The 2026 call, launched on 18 March, supports 1,000 households with a total budget of 200 million MDL. Maximum grant per household: 50% of eligible work costs, up to 200,000 MDL (~€10,000). Applications are submitted exclusively online at feerm.md during the active call period.
Individuals
Owners of residential properties may apply for a grant of up to 50% of eligible work costs, with a ceiling of 200,000 MDL (~€10,000) per household. Budget allocation: 30% for applicants from Chișinău, 70% for other localities. Important: photovoltaic panels with battery storage are eligible only after thermal insulation and window/door replacement have been completed.
Small and medium enterprises
Small and medium enterprises can access financing through the ODA (Organisation for SME Development) programme: up to 50% of investment, with a maximum of 1.5 million MDL for equipment including solar installations. Casa Verde FEERM is exclusively for individual residential households — legal entities use separate financing channels.
Agricultural producers
Agricultural producers can access dedicated programmes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Development. Conditions and ceilings for the agricultural sector are established separately from the residential Casa Verde FEERM programme. Check current offers at agricultura.gov.md or through an ANRE-authorised installer.
Who can apply
The programme is open to three categories of applicants:
Individuals
Individuals who own a property and consume electricity under their own contract.
SMEs
Legal entities (SRLs, SAs) registered in Moldova that pay taxes and own the building.
Agricultural farms
Agricultural enterprises and farming households with documented agricultural activity.
Important notice
Installing solar panels alone without home insulation is not funded. The programme supports comprehensive energy renovation: wall/roof insulation + window replacement + efficient heating + (optionally) PV panels or solar collectors.

Timeline and calendar
The 2026 call was launched on 18 March 2026 for 1,000 households with a budget of 200 million MDL. Applications are submitted online at feerm.md during the active call period — registration is exclusively electronic. The budget is limited and fills quickly: in the previous call, 745 applications reached the limit in a short time. Follow cned.gov.md or SolarMD news for announcements of future calls.
From the moment of application submission: technical review takes up to 15 working days, payment is made within 30 days of system commissioning and approval.
Combining the subsidy with a private installation
The subsidy does not exclude private financing — you can cover the remaining cost with your own funds, a bank loan or a leasing scheme. Many installers offer combined packages: they help submit the application and simultaneously arrange financing for the part not covered by the grant.
Important: the installation must be carried out by an ANRE-authorised company. A system installed by a non-authorised contractor is not eligible for the programme, even if you prepared all the other documents correctly.
What to do if your application is rejected
A rejection is not the end. The most common reasons and what you can do:
- →Incomplete documentation — resubmit with the missing documents.
- →Installer not on the approved list — choose a different, authorised company.
- →Budget exhausted for the current cycle — apply in the next window.
- →Technical requirements not met — request a revised estimate from the installer.
