What is Casa Verde and why did the programme change in 2026

The Casa Verde programme has existed in Moldova since the early 2010s, but 2026 marked a radical transformation. Previously administered by the Environmental Investment Fund (FIE), the maximum grant was just 45,000 MDL per household.
